2005
The company was founded as Nrep, with an innovative, customer-centric approach to commercial real estate and a conviction that solving real problems is a better business model.
2012
We understood early that sustainability is a key value creation lever in real assets and made the strategic decision to explore carbon reduction at scale.
2014
Broke ground in Nordhavn, at the time a disused port and dangerous area in Copenhagen, which through careful investment and strategic partnership with the municipality would evolve to become one of Copenhagen’s most vibrant and desirable neighbourhoods.
2019
We began to develop the largest rooftop solar farm in the Nordics.
2021
We begin to expand our core markets from the Nordics to Northern Europe, starting with residential and logistics investments in Poland. We also add real estate credit and venture capital (2150) to our growing roster of risk-adjusted investment strategies.
2023
Launched the Urban Partners brand. We also closed the largest ever European and deepened our commitment to logistics and residential with a structural investment in Klövern, a leading residential developer in Sweden, and 7R, one of the largest logistics developers in Poland.
2024
Completed UN17 Village, the world’s first housing development to integrate all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals into one coherent solution. The project underscores our ambition to lead the way in shaping more sustainable and resilient urban development.
2008
Building on our growing track record in Denmark, Sweden and Finland, we scaled our hyperlocal approach and unique execution capabilities in Norway.
2013
We were early into the residential and logistics sectors, and through long-term, disciplined investments established ourselves as the largest commercial real estate investor in the Nordics.
2017
Took a step forward in combining innovation and sustainability by investing in Resource Rows and Upcycled Studios, landmark projects piloting the use of recycled materials.
2020
Novo Holdings, one of the world’s largest privately-held, independent investors, became the first external investor in our partner-based company. Through their minority stake and strategic support, they helped accelerate our vision to solve real world problems to make our cities more liveable.
2022
Continued our Northern European expansion with first investments in Germany and joined forces with C40 to launch the “Green and Thriving Neighbourhood” programme.
2024
The firm was selected to pilot a new framework by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global initiative that helps companies set and verify greenhouse gas reduction targets aligned with climate science goals.
2025
Reached €25 billion in Assets Under Management, after launching the 6th vintage of our flagship real estate fund. We also joined forces with Viessmann Generations Group, who acquired a strategic minority stake in Urban Partners. Another key milestone this year was our investment into Swedish care home developer Sehlhall, with a clear commitment to improve Sweden’s social infrastructure.
