Urban Partners celebrates double MIPIM Awards nomination

Two projects from Urban Partners’ real estate arm, Nrep, have been shortlisted for the prestigious MIPIM Awards 2025, highlighting its leadership in sustainable innovation and urban problem-solving within the real estate industry.
Urban Partners proudly announces that two of its projects have been shortlisted for the renowned MIPIM Awards 2025. The nominations include UN17 Village in the “Best Residential Project” category and the Innovation Project in Bålsta in the “Best Industrial & Logistics Project” category.
The UN17 Village, located in Copenhagen’s Ørestad district, is the world’s first housing development to fully integrate all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals into a single groundbreaking project. With its pioneering focus on social inclusion, environmental responsibility, and economic viability, the development sets a new benchmark for sustainable urban living.
The Innovation Project in Bålsta, Sweden, is the only Swedish project shortlisted this year. Redefining sustainability in the logistics sector, the facility features cutting-edge architecture and bio-based material innovations, achieving an 88% reduction in emissions while fostering biodiversity and employee well-being.
The MIPIM Awards, established in 1991, celebrate the most innovative and visionary real estate projects globally, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and ESG goals.
“We are incredibly proud to have two projects shortlisted in one of the real estate industry’s most prestigious events. This recognition underscores our commitment to solving real problems in new, unique ways while we look to create better products for both communities and our planet on commercial terms. Only by doing so can the industry's impact on cities of the future be positive, lasting and for real,” says Rune Kock, CEO of Urban Partners’ real estate arm, Nrep.
The winners of the MIPIM Awards will be announced at the MIPIM Awards Ceremony on 13 March 2025 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, celebrating projects that redefine the built environment and contribute positively to communities, the economy, and the planet.
