Urban Partners appoints Hilde Tonne and Jonathon Bond to its Board of Directors

Urban Partners announced today the appointments of Hilde Tonne and Jonathon Bond to the Board of Directors of Urban Partners, strengthening the Board with deep experience across investment, asset management, institutional capital, technology and sustainable urban development.
The appointments reflect Urban Partners’ focus on deepening its capabilities, supporting its continued growth and further strengthening its position as a leading European urban investor.

Hilde Tonne is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience across technology, energy, infrastructure and major CAPEX investments. She currently serves as Chair of Arup Group and Senior Advisor at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. Previously, she was CEO of Statnett, Norway’s transmission system operator, Chief Innovation Officer at Ramboll and Executive Director at Telenor. Across these roles, she has successfully worked at the intersection of digital transformation, sustainable infrastructure development, industrial development, technology and institutional capital. She has also held board positions with organisations including Danske Bank, Vattenfall, Statkraft and the Research Council of Norway, bringing board experience and deep knowledge of Nordic markets.
Jonathon Bond is an accomplished investor and executive with several decades of experience across private equity, asset management and corporate leadership. He co-founded and managed Actis Capital, an investment firm focused on sustainable investments and held senior roles in development finance and private equity, with a focus on institutional capital. Across these roles, he has helped build investment platforms, raise institutional capital and guide organisations with an emphasis on responsible investing. He has also chaired and led family-owned and corporate groups and later served as Chief Investment Officer at Grosvenor for many years.
Following the appointments, Urban Partners’ Board of Directors comprises Executive Chairman Mikkel Bülow-Lehnsby, Vice Chairman Jim Hagemann Snabe, Co-founder Rasmus Nørgaard, Morten Beck Jørgensen, Jonathon Bond and Hilde Tonne. Former Board member Celia Francis remains connected to Urban Partners and has continued to support the firm in an advisory capacity since earlier this year.
