June 25, 2026 - Urban Partners, a leading European urban investment manager has through its NSF IV Fund and in a joint venture with AG Gruppen and Nordea Pension Ejendomme, completed the sale of Banehaverne a residential development in Glostrup/Brøndby to M&G Real Estate.

The transaction concerns a residential scheme comprising 56,000 sqm and 667 rental units, located across the municipal border between Glostrup and Brøndby. The project has been developed as a transformation of a former industrial area into a new residential neighborhood with good transportation options and access to both urban amenities and nature.

“This has been a project characterized by very close collaboration and a high degree of trust – not least as we have worked closely with two different municipalities, given the project’s location across the border of Brøndby and Glostrup. We are proud of what we have delivered together with AG Gruppen and Nordea Pension Ejendomme, and of contributing to the development of this area. The transaction also reflects the continued demand for high-quality residential assets in Greater Copenhagen, including well-connected suburban locations,” says Thomas Riise-Jakobsen, Head of Denmark for Urban Partners.

Banehaverne consists of six residential buildings arranged around green courtyards, connected by a central pathway that runs through the development. The project integrates shared outdoor spaces, community areas and varied housing typologies, designed to support everyday life and encourage interaction among residents. The scheme is DGNB Gold certified and has been developed with a focus on energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.

“We are very pleased to have been involved throughout the entire journey - from acquiring the site and initiating the development, to leasing, operations, and now the sale of the completed project. The collaboration between AG Gruppen, Urban Partners, and Nordea Pension Ejendomme has demonstrated that strong results are often achieved when different competencies, perspectives, and profiles are brought together. Each party has made a distinct contribution to both the process and the finished product, and ultimately, the outcome speaks for itself. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all parties involved for a strong and valuable collaboration,” says Flemming Engelhardt, CEO Nordea Pension Ejendomme.

“We are very pleased and proud that a major international investor like M&G Real Estate recognizes the value of the Banehaverne project. When AG Gruppen began the initial discussions with the then-owners of the site nearly 10 years ago, we did so with a clear vision for the area - a vision we have realized through close and constructive collaboration with our highly valued joint venture partners, Urban Partners and Nordea Pension Ejendomme” says Bjarke Windeløv Graae, CEO at AG Gruppen.

“Banehaverne is exactly the kind of high-quality, sustainable residential asset we want to add to our Nordics portfolio. Greater Copenhagen has a shortage of new rental homes, which makes this an attractive market for long-term investors. Across the region, M&G Real Estate now manages over €1billion in logistics, living, retail and office assets, giving the M&G European Property Fund a broad presence in the Nordics and taking its exposure to these countries to around 18%,” says Robert Göthe, Head of Nordics at M&G Real Estate.

In the transaction, Urban Partners, AG Gruppen and Nordea Pension Ejendomme has been advised by Accura, PwC, Howden and Colliers.
