Intro

In December 2020, Finnish Design Shop, the world’s largest online store specializing in authentic Nordic and Scandinavian design, partnered with Urban Partners to bring its digital brand into the physical world through the development of a modern flagship showroom.

From the outset, Urban Partners worked closely with the tenant to translate Finnish Design Shop’s operational needs and growth ambitions into a purpose-built facility. The project went beyond logistics: The ambition was to create a physical storefront that embodied the spirit, values, and lifestyle of Nordic design. The development combines modern logistics solutions with high-quality, sustainable architecture. Strong emphasis was placed on energy efficiency and environmental performance. The building, which achieved BREEAM certification, is powered by geothermal energy and solar panels, while the site design preserved as much of the existing forest landscape as possible.

The project stands as a clear example of Urban Partners’ collaborative development model: Integrating modern, high-performance facilities into urban environments while aligning commercial growth with environmental responsibility.
